Excellent capture, I have tried and tried to get home in time to catch one of these and never do. Guess I need to put my camera in my car but always afraid it might invite a car break in which, is a habit in my city. I may try anyway though after seeing your capture, very inspiring. Bravo!

Dear Richard, This is a really beautiful sunset. Truly amazing colors!! I know the exact feeling that you had!! You're out trying to shoot a picture of something - and maybe you do and maybe you don't - then all of a sudden there is something gorgeous that just pops out of nowhere!! Serendipity strikes again. The most recent time I had something like that happen, I was over at the local arboreum shooting some flower shots just before dusk. I was sitting down beside this little hedge and kind of randomly taking shots of flowers in the bed in front of me. I heard a small noise and looked around behind me and there was a doe and her two fawns looking at me as intently as I'd been looking at the flowers. I knew that as soon as I moved, they'd be gone, but I slowly brought my camera around and zipped off a half dozen shots. They just stood there posing for me, then casually wandered off!! Anyway - back to the subject at hand - this is really fantastic sunset - thanks for sharing it with all of us!!! Love, Meredith
