Description

Okay, okay, I didn't brew up a bunch of chemicals and vegetable oil in a steaming cauldron like Jocko does in order to achieve his black light UV effects. So, would you believe a Photoshop filter? Definitely a lot less labor/labour than handling chemicals and magic potions. I would probably spill most of it all over my shirt, pants and shoes, anyway. This may not be the exact effect Jocko gets in his photos -- his can get extremely off the wall -- but it does project a similar ambiance; kind of a tame pseudo black light atmosphere. This picture is also for Newbie Renderer, because he enjoys my Koi photographs from the Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden in Long Beach, California. Thanks for dropping by, and don't let the bedbugs bite!

For those unfamiliar with these particular fish, they are not little or small...most of them run anywhere from a foot to 18" long.

haha.... this is so cool GOB, many thanks. You're right, I do enjoy those koi photos of yours. Prior to seeing these, I thought kois were just regular goldfish with some crazy colors. Seeing your photos and reading the comments turned me around, haha ...see a old newbie can learn new tricks. I like what you've done with this one!!!

Very cool electric colors and definitely a safer way to do it than Jocko's method. Kinder to the Koi as well! ;] A very appropriate dedi.
