Description

Thank you for all visits and comments on The sun's last painting for the day

thumb_1323357.jpg

The giraffe is well known in South Africa and this gentle giant was photographed near Leeudoringstad where I live. The quality of the photo is not good at all because of the direction of the sun, however capturing twin giraffe calves is very rare. Do you spot the difference in skin patterns of the calves? I know there are people here on Renderosity who love giraffes. I hope you enjoy the display.

I wish you all well for the week ahead!

I actually like backlight, and I think you managed very well to capture detail in spite of it,which is most difficult. Therefore,it's very well done! It's a lovely capture,Piet and I envy your environs greatly. As I've said, the only wildlife we have here are squirrels and swans...lol.Have a lovely week,my friend.-M :^)

Beautiful and interesting pic. Now tell me : these two baby giraffes cannot be from the same mother. To me they are 2 very different sorts with different names I cannt remember.

The sun glowing off their backs looks really good! You should have said that you planned it that way and have us all in awe of your forethought!! Big grin (just teasing my friend) Love the differences of the markings and I also really like the differences between the leafy, brushy foreground and the golden fields or plains (whatever it is) beyond. Great capture & if short ribs gets his cutlery out there I will all steal his camera from him!!!!! Jen!
