Description

... in the USA anyway. Not sure if this is the real Tom Thumb or a replica. Forgot to read the notes, etc. ISTR it's the original. Anyhow, all sorts of 'puns' or 'meaning' to that title. This is where our tour of the B & O Museum begins, this is where American railroading began, the museum still runs a train over the original mile of track, and this is the engine (I assume) that lost a race to a horse but won the transportation 'argument.' Steam was mightier than the steed in the long run. All with the amazing speed of 13 mph which was assumed to be so fast that arms and legs would fall of anyone who attained it. We'll be back to look at more exhibits, but it's time to move on for now. Enjoy; thanks for viewing.

Well, it's been a pretty cool series weesel, haha.... guess that's providing you like trains eh. Myself I like all mechanical things, thanks for the look back in time. A pretty cool shot to move on with, the boiler work looks impeckable. Judging by the condition I'm guessing it's a replica, but you never know, this stuff was made to last. Great reporting weesel!!
