Description
This is my cat, Michi. And the penalty for interupting the royal backscratching is severe :)
I decided to start with my animals because I have not yet been able to do justice to people (it's harder than I thought!)
I've been poking around with my new Canon 300D EOS for a few weeks now, and I have a basic/functional understanding of PhotoShop-7.0. This is the first "real" camera I've ever owned and I have no formal training so I welcome any and all feedback (the more critical you are, the more I'll learn). Whether it's logistical advice on recording a scene or artistic wisdom of capturing a moment, please tell me your thoughts. My passions lean more toward the surreal, but I think I have to ground myself in the basics first before I can really start experimenting.
No stranger to r'osity, I have been a "lurker" for a couple years (first in the poser galleries and more recently here in photos) and I've seen that it is a great resource of both learning and role-models. I hope to grow a lot, and share my progress here. I look forward to hearing others' thoughts

a beautiful cat and capture. how ever it needs to be resized for the web. if you are shooting at a full 8 pixels then you can reduce it to 25 % and it usually works very well but sometimes it must be less. I am using Canon rebel xt. I just checked it and it is 2.62 pixels and 39% would make it perfect
