Description

This is from Hindu mythology, and Krishna is a popular god here. In this episode from his life, as a cowherd boy, he subdues the poisonous serpent Kaliya and saves his village. The snake is said to have 110 hoods, but popularly he's depicted with five, mercifully, or I wouldn't have attempted him! To know more about this story, you may visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kaliya Rendered in Vue using Poser's Penny and ContentParadise's Rattlesnake and a lot of postwork in Photopaint. The water was a terrain map with 'foamy water' material. Try it, folks, it gives great effects.

In a world religions class I took, I was always intrigued by the richness of the story of Krishna. You have done a superb job on re-creating this myth.
