Description
G'day.
These are a pair of Australian Corella's which are closely related to Cockatoos but have different eye markings.
They are not as well klnown as Cockatoos and generally live out in the drier areas of Australia. Because of our drought conditions alot of these and other parrots have been coming close to melbourne for food!!
These were a mating pair with chicks that i found in a tree at Pound Bend State Park, Warrandyte, Melbourne, Australia.
They were quite high up the tree so is used Canon 400d, 300mm lens with tripod.
Enjoy
Lou
PS: thanx for yesterdays comments but NO i wouldnt get lower down to the ground was it as covered in lots of bird poo (birds carry lots of diseases)!!

It is a beautiful shot. And do not get in the bird poo which carries histoplasmosis which affects the lungs or eyes...... Be careful..... Karen :)
