Description
G'day.
This is an Australian native "King Parrot" photographed in the wild on top of Mt Dandenong, east of Melbourne, Australia.
These birds are bigger than a rosella or lorikeet but smaller than a Cockatoo.
These ones are fairly tame as they are used to tourists feeding them bird seed and hence easy to photograph!!
Unfortunately it was windy and there is a slight bur in the head due to movement. Bummer!!
They have an incredible red chest and green back. I havent increased the saturation of this photo!!
Its has been cropped form a larger image and sharpened a bit.
Enjoy
Lou
