Description

This is my little budgie, Skyy - who has a broken leg. One of the people at work wanted to see a photo of him with the cast on....here the poor little guy is - guess this will stop his habit of hanging upside down from the top of the cage. Taken with an Olympus C-7000 Zoom camera

I know it isn't funny but that is one strange looking picture. Did wonder just how in the hell they could splint or put a cast on his leg. Yep that will probably break that habit of hanging upside down for him, providing he remembers it. He certainly doesn't look very comfortable to say the least.

They use very thin and tiny splints underneath what you see...he did try to fly tonight and found that his take off and landing gear were - well, gone. He has pain medication....only twenty more days until it comes off.

Oh, he is a pretty boy, such lovely shades of blue. I fractured my arm on the weekend, and I'm sure skyy is thinking that his situation sucks. I hope he gets well soon, neat shot!!

Cute and poor budgie. Theyre native to Australia and i have seen them in the wild (a flock) out in the desert and its an amazing sight!! Nice shot!!

Thank you all for your kind wishes. He is in a cage that is a little bit bigger than a shoebox - it is designed so he cannot fly or climb. Needless to say, he still trys and it's driving him nuts. Only 19 days more and yes, I am counting!!
