Description
Captured at the beautiful Earl Burns Miller Japanese Garden located on the north campus of Cal State University Long Beach in California. In fact, it's the very same place I photographed my exquisite Koi.
The last of Kort's (TwoPynts) uploads showed an ancient Ishi-Doro sitting atop a manicured sea of gravel in a Zen garden similar to this one.
No Ishi-Doro here but the gravel display is virtually identical to that of Kort's.
I have a couple more Zen garden gravel shots for later posting.
Thanks for dropping by, and Sayonara, y'all!

Beautiful Japanese garden!!! Lovely serene and peaceful... I love those mini japanese gardens in a box where you can rake the gravel with a small rake... so soothing to do!!! Have a great one, Magic Boy! 8;o)

Full of textures due to the raking. It looks like moss covering the islands?

Ah yes, I love the zen of the Zen rock gardens. This one is particulary nice with its little islands of grass. Consider me further edified!

I love zen gardens. They are not for strolling through but more for passing by... for viewing. This is a beautiful and peaceful sight.
