Canon 50mm f1.8. Post in Photoshop.
Just playing at low tide. Thanks to Rachel for climbing over rocks in high heeled boots for this one! :)
Thanks to those who left critical comments on my previous upload, it was interesting to read people's reactions to the crop i used.
I would be grateful for any honest feedback on this shot - dont worry i am a big boy now, if you dont like it tell me why...
Enjoy!

Serene quality and great colors. If there anything to change - maybe the position of her head. I can imagine that if it were turned a little up and to her right it would loosen up a very tight pose she's in. Hard to say - especially since the sots is so good to begin with.

Very lovely and well composoed. You captured a very wide range of tones here - quite tough. The tilt of her head looks good to me. :)

Rich, whever I dislike an image, I just normally skip it. Yours is not the one to skip. Another eye-catcher. However, the position of Rachel's head is kind of tense to me too.

well that is interesting - this was one of the first shots i took - all i said to rachel was "sit there and face that way looking into the sunset". Only after i took this shot did i start telling her to move her head around, so this was her natural pose. Maybe it is her general pose which does it - hugging her knees makes a concise form, also it could be because it was a cold day and there was a bit of a chilly wind blowing so naturally people are tense in those conditions. Thanks for the input :)

Hey, it's a candid looking shot. I think it looks great. :0)

I especially like the tones and mood - I'm not all that bothered with Rachel's pose. And I like her reflection you caught as well! Wonderful! 8;o)

lovely ... beautiful colours...I like very much the reflection too

She presents just about everything in contrast with her environment, cold vs warm and even the colors and textures. The fact that she does not make eye contact goes well with her placement futher into your photo, creating some remoteness.

I'm not sure about the narrow crop but I do like the way her hat and jeans echo the color of the water, and her black sweater is 'shaped' like the surrounding black rocks. There is a lot 'right' about this capture,Rich.-M :^)

Very contemplative image. The person might be lonely and thinking hard or might just be enjoying a peaceful moment. It is always nice to hacve a special spot to go sit and chill.
