Description
So from yeseterday's more serious upload to todays bit of fun with a collage. How did you do that? i think will be the main question. Firstly i was looking back through to the start of people's galleries about a week ago and found a collage which girsempa made:
Doctor My Eyes
He replied to the same question that he had a mac and got a free program to do it on there... so i went off onto google to find a windows program to do it, and i found one:
http://www.andreaplanet.com/andreamosaic/
So i downloaded the free (no strings either) program set it up so that it used my archives as the photo resource and put in a photo to be "collaged". The original photo was taken a while back and was just a simple one which the program managed to handle well. It does do colour mosaics, but i found this one looked better in B&W.
It has highlighted my problem of disk space - because even tho you might see images which appear the same, they are not - they are the same scene or thing shot twice or even 3, 4, or 5 times - each image = 1 shutter realease. So i need to sort that out and delete all my unwanted photos because at the moment (from photos from about august) that constitutes 18.7GB of space =\.
Anyway i have deleted my upload yesterday as i beleive most people have seen it who were going to see it and those who wanted to have made their point about it - thanks to everyone for being both honest and mature about it. For the record: when i deleted it, it was on 277 views and that was within 25 hours of it being up.
So yeah - thanks for dropping by for a look and have fun with collages. And sorry for the spoiler if you ever wondered how they did those elvis or any other famous person posters - i think i have seen one of Nelson Mandela...
Anyway - blah blah blah, i'll stop now :)

Very neat...I definitely see an new trend starting with this, esp. if there is software out there to help you do it. I have a MAC and havn't heard of that software...better talk to Gert. Very cool Rich, I like it alot. Thanks for sharing your process.

Very cool shot or perhaps I should say collage. Great news hearing about software to help with this. Thanks for the link, I'll have to check it out.

How did you do that? I think it works even better in black and white, it gives the image a more uniform look... And it's an excellent image to start with, by the way..;o)). (the model is prettier)
