Description

I have been wanting to try doing an HDRI image for a while. The background and light probe image is the "Kitchen" image found on various HDRI web sites. The table top and objects on it are simple geometric objects with various shaders. Rendered in Cinema 4D.

Nice setup so far! A bit on the dark side lighting-wise. I would turn up any actual lights you have by maybe 2-3% or increase the GI strength. Keep up the good work. HDRI is so cool. -chachi

Now I think the lighting the lighting looks very natural and convincing. Always in the eyes of the beholder I suppose! Anyway, a nice test.

Chachi, you are right. I had the lighting set down to 75%. I also typed in the wrong index of refraction for the glass sphere. I typed in 1.15. That is now set to a more realistic 1.5 value. I rerendered and uploaded the better image to my gallery. I guess that is what happens when one is trying something for the first time and/or in a hurry. Thanks for the kind comment Becco.
