I took this photograph where the Rhinos roam and I tested the polarizer on my new cam. I under exposed and saturated colors. This is where I hide from life when in a pensive mood - this time I waited for the "grandson" to be born, hence the title. He was born at 9pm and is currently in ICU to aid him breathing. The mom is ok.

Hopefully our summer rains start soon, as you can see the savannah grass is dry.

I am so happy for the grandson's birth. Pity he needs some assistance but I'm sure it will be a short need. My son was born a hefty 4 pounds and only needed extra help for about 10. He only stayed in hospital for 3 weeks until he reached 5 pounds and then we packed our old truck up with all of our belongings and made the drive from northern California to Galveston, Texas during the coldest part of winter - the truck had no heat, 3 badly shattered windows and we kept 2 cases of oil (at all times) in the spare tire that hung on the side of the bed of the truck because every 50 miles we had to stop and dump in another quart. :-) That boy of mine was and still is a survivor and I think its all due to his early start in life. Hey, does this grandson resemble you or was he born without a mustache? (My son was born looking like an Orangutan with thick orange hair all over. The nurses thought I was horrible for mentioning this but how blind did they think I was? The boy looked like something out of a Clint Eastwood movie - only smaller!)
