It looks a lot like the Nevada Falls at Yosemite, but I suppose you could say that about a lot of places. I love the composition and the contrast of the water with the trees. Terrific job!

Gorgeous water fall capture Meredith! Bravo! Vancouver Canada is one of my favorite places to visit, and indeed fun by train! Did you get to see the Queen Elizabeth Park, by far the prettiest in the whole wide world! IMHO!

There is a place not far from where I live that looks just like this. It's one of my favorite retreats. I just follow the water about 100 yards downstream and I'm in a forest area that has no sign of so called civilization. I can spend hours there exploring or just meditating.. so relaxing. This captures that quality perfectly. Great photo Mere. If you were in motion then that's one great camera.. don't let it go. Hugs from Dave :^)

And in case anyone asks, "Where is Meredith in the photo?"-- a set of Meredith_001 through Meredith_180 is on a flash drive that's tucked in a watertight bag that's caught in the undertow at the bottom of the falls.

Nice nature shot, waterfalls are very special places for some reason deep in the human psyche. Nice to see some of your travels, I mean the DNA version! I recalibrated my monitor, everything was just about right except for the color temperature thing, I'm still trying to get used to the new setting.

There's a place in the Shenandoah Park that's kind of like that. (not so much water tho...except after a thunderstorm) As davidoblad said, it's a great place to just sit and relax. I guess you could call places like that my 'comfort' places.

You are not only a fabulous artist you are also a marvellous photographer! Splendid to see how you captured this wonderful waterfall surrounded by those trees! Excellent how you handle your camera! The shutter time has been wonderfully selected! I love the light and shadow play which gives this scene a fantastic and wild looking atmosphere! Where are the bathing beauties! LOL Thanks for sharing this splendid photo with us! Hugs Roland

Wow! Taking this photo was akin to being caught up in a James Bond film. Incredible action involved. I guess the Canadians were just too polite to tell you to close the windows, sit down and shut up. Impressive waterfall.

Fantastic photo. With all the trouble you had to take it, you did a better job I do while being still. It can be used as a background for a Meredith madness. I was even afraid you would use this image to talk about sex. 8-)

A gorgeous scene! I have a Canon with lots of setting and did take some pics but haven't sent the film off to be developed yet. Lazy photographer, huh? I know mine won't turn out half this good. Excellent shot.
