Description
The title is taken from a band that I used to listen too. Unfortunately I Lost a lot of there music between moving homes. In addition its releavnt to the Oranges used in the mats.
A longtime ago Efflux , Ryan...mentioned about adding Mojo-Math or cyber skies to their resective terrains. Heres an example & one that I think I need to work more on. It uses a min blend of 2 textures of which 1 uses Dmytrys Twister Node. The mats are applied via the FG in VU position. The effect of trying to determine wht was created as atmos & which is cloud I think works well, but perhaps i need to look at "smoothing" instead of the hard lines!?!
Theres some high specularity values that use the same FG as the terrain mats & is perhaps why I have the bleached out flats in the foreground:(
The train mats also us ethe same FGs as the terrain formation, just with Colour nodes added.
Mojo Standard render on Maximum in about 2 hours.

I'm a TF fan as well. This kind of caputres the feeling of their music. Sorry you lost your collection. I wouldn't know what to do without my TD when I'm working.

Those mats look superb Woz!!....the unusual dark rings could've looked odd but they actually work very well with this terrain!...Love that freaky atmos man though I agree those hard lines could be a bit softer....I'll have to lock myself away for a couple of months & try to get my head around the FG(once again..^_^..)..I'd like to understand what you're talking about in your notes...but it is still alianspeak to me man....Maybe I'll stick a bit of TD on (lucky for me I still have my TD collection)....it might help me with this darn FG...you know like send those vibes Woz....weyoo...weyoo....hey enough of this!!....Great work!!

Cool work here. There are multitudes of things you can do without even going volumetric. There is still so much to experiment with. I don't think I've ever heard Tangerine Dream.

I released an electronic track called 'Clementines nightmare' a while back(many years), it was kind of a hat tip to TG. Pioneers !! Like the abstractness of this image, especially sky.. I agree with efflux too about unexplored possibilities in mojo. Only limits are imagination and not the software itself.

Since this effects have nothing to do with realism, you may as well try amplifying the saturation up to the limit. Might look cool here:)

Thanks for the feedback to all. @ Ryan yep your right, Im going to dig further with this style but it has the added advantage that what hasnt been done with Mojo probably also hasnt been done in Vol as well :) Lookup Tangerine Dream & see if you can get a sample of there music. Big in the late 70's & early 80
s as perhaps the pioneers (as Oct says) into what transpired in the 90
s/2000 to be electro/techno ambience. @ Slav Nice idea with the saturations, thanks:)mamabobbijo
Hey woz, is this what it looks like to gaze into the sky from a planet with rings? Very cool from down here! Can you breathe there or do you need a spacesuit? Do you have a travel agent? Don't understand any of the techno stuff, I write, but I love this! I think TD did the opening song for Miami Vice, a TV show in the US. Thanks for sharing. BJ

Makes me want to look over the edge and see how deep those caverns run :P I like the orange tones here and the materials are superb. Also those cloud shapes give the image some extra dynamics :)
