Lovely vista, Good variation in the terrain and nice mats. The basis function shape is a bit obvious in the shallows in the foreground, perhaps try using the curve to flatten it out a bit..? Looks like a nice lush green fertile place to be.

Nice vista, from altitude the colours seem too uniform eg same colour green everywhere and similar for the rocks.

Thx for the comments all. Yes Bob your quite right. Theres so much crammed in the mats for finer details that at distance they look bland. I need to get a goos large value & small value mix in the mats if I want to get a combination of high/low altitude shots. @ Oct...yep I thought the same but after tweaking it..it killed the overall effect of the "pools" which is what I liked most about the shot, so I left them as they were. Perhaps the next shot I will rework again & see if I can remedy both yours & Bobs feedback :-) Thx All.

A very impressive "vista" Woz!!.....I like the clear strong light on this planet...I think the water/shallows looks superb (esp the bit upper middle right!)....As for the mats at high/low alt (with loss of some great detail at high alt and the opposite being large disp's looking good at high alt but terrible at ground level)....It can be difficult to find a happy medium....if finding the right blend does'nt happen for you maybe you should just save two copies "high & low" of the planet....an easy way out I know...^_^...but the end result is exactly the same renderwise.

Nice overview. The transition to sand/beach looks especially good from this POV.

I love the greenish colour of the water pool and the transparency of it, nice job.
