We just got done with one hell of a storm. Winds up to 61 mph for 31 hrs. Massive power outages. On days like this you can find many animals wandering around, looking to get out of the wind and a safe patch of trees that won't get blown over. Driving up a old logging road, near Mt Baker, the doe jumped out in front of me. With haughtiness, she refused to run. Guess it was her way of telling me I was the least of her problems. She entered a sheltered clearing that had a few trees already blown down. just before she went for the woods, and with the display of a nattiness, she turned as if to say, "take your picture, I'll pose." She flipped her tail and was gone faster than a Governments promise the day after election. A rainy windy day, a brief encounter on a abandon trail.
