Description

This is my perception of what HMCS Haida looked like on patrol in the English Channel during April of 1944. During that month, Haida would witness the sinking of HMCS Athabaskan and assist in the rescue of her surviving crew. This ship is the only remaining WW2 Tribal Class destroyer left intact today. It was restored to it's post WW2 appearance in 2003 & is berthed in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. For more history of this battle veteran, please visit www.hmcshaida.ca Enjoy!

Like the overall composition very much. Don't know much about this ship, but looks like you are doing a great job of modeling!

Thanks for the comments! If anyone has any input on improving the wake around the ship I would appreciate it! I tried using particle systems but it just didn't look right for the scale & lighting. I ended up using a simple helper gizmo with a fire effect rendered to it. I'm sure there is a better way without purchasing expensive plug-ins (I only do this for a hobby ya know!)
