Description
The Chronos Effect XVII by Elgon Agis
I too was concerned along with Clio, although I gave her no sign of concern to her either way. I mulled the thought over in my mind, and did not care for the way the idea stuck in my craw. But certainly Chronos did not bring us here to watch a sacrifice. We just had to trust him. After all, he was a god, and must know what he was doing to go to all of this trouble with us. What mortal man may fathom the mind of a god? We could only trust that we had not seen all that Chronos had wanted us to see, and as soon as we have seen what we are supposed to see, he would return us to our Athens.
While human sacrifice was once a common practice with different sects and peoples of the olden times
