I started toward the center of the circle. But my way was blocked. Hands grabbed me and pulled me back into the mist of the initiates. How could Zunna have manipulated this? Everyone knew that she had an axe to grind with Clio and myself. Was it coincidence? I did not think so.
Clio had a look of determination on her face as Zunna approached swinging her staff. Somehow Clio managed to block her onslaught of jabs and thrusts
