Description

Hey, fellow 3Ders, let`s recall our first steps in this foul craft;) OK, maybe the render is not perfect;) But I`m already sick of that and I won`t make it any better. Blender got crazy after I put an animated softbody into this scene. "Presume nothing", heheheh... Free textures are from Afflict, Allworld, Paul Bourke, ImageAfter, Mayang, Noctua Graphics, Redix3d and ZooRender websites and from my own photos. No external meshes-everything is modeled by me. Urchin imported from C4D rel 6, everything else made with Blender. Stephenson`s Rocket is very hi-poly and actually took most time to render, but it`s planned to have its own project and it`s worth wasting some time. Enjoy, and have a nice day!

Thanks for all these warm comments. This is the best reward I can get after some months of struggling with our crazy virtual friend:P Now doing some ordinary still life. Without mushrooms;)

Wow...if you remember the Stanley, then you've been doing this a while..LOL...cool render, gave me chuckles on a number of planes...I really like the wind moving the curtain, it gives undeniable reality in my books...and the 'shrooms on the sill are a cute addition tho they would grow better in the dark, heh heh heh

I get this strong alternate reality feeling when I see this image. Robots, like humans, discovering the world of PCs. This particular little guy, Felcarb XD07, just purchased the all new Stanley Illudium Pue 36 System with 3D Hardware. He is excited because now he will be able to work at home.

Heheh... The robot isnt any particular model. Hes quite old and he sometimes changed parts during his long and difficult life. Actually, nobody knows his name... Hes just nicknamed Urchin for his quite rough life style... and he doesnt have any official job. Hes a smuggler and he utilizes an old autogyro saved from a junkyard;) As you see, the story behind is a bit less attractive as the idea of Vedek... but much more suitable for a film. Now Im in the middle of re-modeling Urchin in a version that would be both far less resource-hungry (about 1/3 of the original vertex number) and exportable to other programs. The film Im now thinking about is to be about his smuggler job. Unlike Han Solo, he smuggles persons from the falling Closed City to the Wild, where a space port is believed to exist (but nobody actually knows if it is true). The Stanley 3D hardware is just a side effect of my 3D fascination. I wanted to make some cruel joke about Blender which was both my most capable program until recently and the one which I hated most heartily (for its chaotic interface:P). The name Stanley was chosen because its just an ordinary name and is used in many disciplines, so no particular firm could expect it was about them. For example, in Poland there us a tanley that produces... clothes:0 Have good fun, all BlenderHeads. Vedek, your names sound very good:) But I wont use them, Im afraid... Seems I`m quite jealious about my internal worlds;)

If Urchin has problems, it could login to renderosity! Urchin did pass the Turing test? Great job with this.

A funny little pointy-kneed character. Very cute, the intense stare at something that might have been disturbing him. And mushrooms on the window sill. There's something wrong with that boy. Well done and amusing image.
