OK, I won`t make it any better. It`s been primarily a learning project-it`s my first LightWave proj! Managed to use all the methods I hoped for; rather unusual in the case of a 3D self-learner, even considering all the help I received from you [Thanks!:)]. Seems LightWave is the easiest though most powerful program I had my hands on. Some grumble at it, but for me it is THE ONE I`ve finally found:)
Textures from Bourke, CGtextures, and from my photos. HDRI is made with the famous kitchen_probe.hdri. Glass material partially based on that from the LiquidArts tutorial. Blender and background sideboard with kitchenware modeled with... Blender3D ;) The rest including the bottle is made exclusively with LightWave 7.5. DoF is internal, no DigitalConfusion yet.
Regarding the light... I have to admit there`s only O N E apart from the Caustics-Only Spot and HDRI. All the work is done by LightWave`s radiosity engine.

PS. The blender was a model for my entry to the "Still Life with a Blender" contest on a Polish Blender3D forum. Since I was learning B. that time, I didn`t meet the deadlines, but then this device halped me much in my 3D adventure:)

Wow! Thanks for encouraging comments! The closer I was to the finish, the more unhappy I was about the results:) Great that despite this you like the results. Hope my next LW renders will be better, anyway:)

Not the type of soda for acid reflux sufferers. Kudos on the glass. Looks great.

Great work! :B eaver !

It's great. What computer did you render it on? I like the four hour render time...
Silgrin
Great thanks for all these encouraging comments! You made this project a nice start into the LW Gallery:) I was making all the project on a Celeron 1.4GHz with 0,5GB RAM. Without Antialiasing it took some 15 minutes to render with Caustics and Radiosity while with AA plus DoF coupled to it (it doesn`t compute unless the AA is set to Enganced Standard or so) it rocketed to these >4h, which usually meant overnight rendering ;)

A little dust on the table and scatches on the cork screw, and some blemaches on the bottle, like finger prints, or something to that effect, some tiny scratches on the spoon and knife and fork, a little Liquid in the bottle.....And I would HAVE thought that was a REAL Bottle....Awesome Image Totally, Well DONE YES.....Have a GREAT day.... ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Michael
