I wonder if the spirits of Bogie and Hepburn are below decks? I recently read an interesting article about the disastrous mess in the Republic of Congo, which went on for well more than 120 years. The Conrad quote is from Heart of Darkness, and he used the Belgian Congo colonial setting as the background for his 1899 novella. Excellent compo, BTW!

Those words are so beautiful...probably because its written in english that this swede find rather complicated, lol. Gorgeous photo as well to go with it. I too wish to crawl under a blanket though....here it aint sunny...instead its pitch black outside at 6.40am and ive already been at work for an hour...siiigh. Have a lovely workday buddy! #:o)

A blanket by the fire,a hot cup of coffee and a view like this in a cosy cabin by the sea...Sounds lovely and romantic to me.Sometimes weather like this is wonderful because you don't feel any pressure to go out in it...You can snuggle indoors instead and relish the quiet solitude and simple comforts of home...Of course,providing you don't have kids,little mood-killers that they are, screaming and running around,lol....It's lovely,Kortalouche.-M ;^)
