The Male has left Her to the task of caring for the two eggs He has gifted Her with. Perhaps He will return, perhaps He will not. She does not dwell on the subject, for Her attention is required elsewhere. Taking great care in their placement, She has covered the eggs with large boulders. They will serve to keep in the heat from Her fiery breath for the long incubation period necessary at this stage. The egg's outer shells are still fragile, and will not harden for some time. For three days, She will not have much chance to rest, as the temperature of the eggs must be kept at a near-constant to harden the shells and ensure the young one's survival. Between bursts of flame, She will use the sensitive nerves of Her tongue to judge the temperature of the rocks surrounding the eggs. It has been so long, and there have been so many failed attempts to produce Her first offspring, She knows that this may be Her last chance. She must not fail now!
