Description

Thank you for comments and visits to Where lions used to roam:

I promised I would put together some of the cub photos. It was difficult to capture them as the lioness was very aggressive as can be seen in the photo top left where she moved between us and the one cub, she immediately lead him away. Later on the lioness was lured to the enclosed feeding area where there is no competition for the family when feeding. It didn't make for a good photo but I did promise...

I hope you have a super week.

Oh how georgeous Piet, we all understand your difficulty with the background, my kitty cat pics all have fences in them but it doesn't hide their beauty and power, or the cuteness of the cubs. Alan and I fed the lioness and the tiger at Dubbo Zoo, see the attached link for the shots if you like. It cost us per person $34.00Australian, for entry and another $50.00 to feed one cat. So we each paid $84.00 Aust to have this wonderful experience, check out your local zoos and see if they offer anything similar, it is well worth it, scary, but worth it! http://www.renderosity.com/mod/gallery/index.php?image_id=1333882 Thanks for sharing Piet. Fine collage of the family, Piet, and good looking cubs. Evidently, the mommy doesn't want to be messed with. Probably heard about all the child predators in our midst.

Awww. We've all been waiting anxiously to see these little "kittens". By the size of their feet, they won't be very little for very long. Thank you for these beautiful pictures. Do be careful and mindful when you take the pictures of the wild beauties. We don't want to feel guilty by hearing (reading) that you're nursing a damaged arm or leg (or worse) because you tried to get too close to some of the wild life that you've let us enjoy. The big animals are beautiful and the babies are adorable. Sure makes one want to reach and pet them.
