BIOSomeone once asked me what was my passion? My anwser was photography. Nothing gets me excited like a good black & white print. I have always drawn and discovered photography in my early teens. Fell in love with it and went to The Art institute of Atlanta in the late '70s majoring in photo. Worked in a custom lab for a few years and realy developed my printing skills. Did feelance off & on but it didn't pay well. I've been working for about 20 yrs. & am one of the owners in a Mining Equip. company. Not very artistic but it led me to doing CAD work. From there I got a copy of PhotoshopLE which led to harder CG drugs. I got involved in 3D and then felt a need to show people some of the things I enjoyed making. So I learned a bit of htm and made a web site or two.
I hope you enjoy the images I post. I have a great time making them and this too is my passion.

Dear Mark, It's hard to photograph artwork!! You might have better luck with a scanner, but then again, maybe not. You're gonna always have gamut problems because RGB doesn't have the range that "real" art does. Super work and a great pencil drawing!! I'm always so impressed with works like this. My drawings are suitable only for the bottom of a bird cage!! One of these days I may create something I could show on the door of the refrigerator!! ;-) I really like your "Norma Jean" and hope you continue to show us some more of your work!!! Love, Meredith

Perfect image. Very interesting to see somewhat quite different of your Poser images (that you know I appreciate much). As MeredithWilson said, probably with a scanner you could have more luck than with a camera unless you have a good SLR with a sharp single-focal lens (a macro lens is a perfect choice) and you make a very uniform lighting, but that presumes that the original artwork can fit into the flat scanner. Even so, deserves the highest rating; for me the legs are not a real problem, though probably you could improve a little the right leg (from the model's point of view) with the Clone stamp.
