Description

I found this berry growing in a medieval courtyard in Carcassonne, France. How are you enjoying the book,"Labyrinth", Ken?

strange how it has an outer shell of sorts to protect the berry. Nature always has stunning art. excellent capture

The book is great (note: I haven't posted anything lately. lol!) This little berry is neat in its exquisite chamber. I've seen something like the shell before, but not with a berry in it. Thank you so much for telling me about "Labyrinth". Like you, I can't put it down!

I think I have seen this once, Rozanne, in September 2005. Strangely it was in Kendal in the big supermarket next to the bus park, where I also found my first Scottish raspberries in ages! Regards, John.

Dear Rozanne, That is really unusual!! I'venever seen anything like it!! When I saw the thumbnail I thought it was a psider web or something wrapped around it - but now I can see it's part of the berry!! Truly amazing!! I was just looking over the comments to see if anyone had identified it!! Looks like Danny and Ulla have got this one nailed down and Errol has indetified the Hawaiian variation!!! What a great photo!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
