Description
The sea is sparkling today. The travellers have moved on from their camp by the beach and left a tree with a bandage around one of its branches. On top of the bandage they have wrapped a red shirt with knots tied in it. The last travellers left a woven, plastic shopping bag with a knot in it, tied to the same branch. What does it mean?

Lovely shots of the deserted beach, Rozanne. Re the 'travellers', it may be a new version of the old tramps' marks, left in chalk beside houses/gate posts etc. I last saw some in the mid-1990s in the Sandyhills are of Glasgow. Since they re-visit the site, it may simply be a message for realtives/friends, who may come by, or a 'the local police do not hassle you too much here' sign. Regards, John.

Dear Rozanne, I love the three shots!! It's always so amazing to see the sea when it slicks off like that! The Gulf of Mexico almost alwasy has some waves and breakers along the coast - but maybe once a year or so, you'll make up and find it like this! Always so amazing - we went water skiing on it once when it was like this - it'd be VERY difficult the rest of the time!!! Super photos!!! I don't know about the stuff tied to the branch - I think I'll leave the speculation to everyone else as I think they have come up with a lot of good ideas!!! Love Ya!!! Meredith
