Description

Kinnith Quarry - France Park, Indiana Ok, this is not exactly "Sea/Undersea" but what the heck; it is under water. lol! This was taken From the top of a twenty meter cliff where the water averages about seven meters deep. We go to this park two or three times a week but have never seen it so clear. There were many artifacts clearly visible on the bottom such as these railroad rails and this stack of ties. Have a happy last day of November (it's finally getting cold) and Thanks for Looking! Ken

My dear, you may think it is just now getting cold, but I have your location on my weather tracking and I've been watching it for a couple months now and ... well... you are mistaken. It has been cold there for at least the last month! These old bones could not be found traipsing around in the woods like you've been doing without being carefully packaged in a ski suit, parka and mukluks! Nice shot here. I wish I was more "universal" and I could convert meters to something I understand though... I'm still working on figuring out the conversion for fathoms!

Makes me want to dive in. When I was in school there was an old quarry north of Huntville Tx that we used to go swim in that looked like this. But since its 30 degrees here in Texas I can imagine its way too cold to swim there now (unless your one of those arctic swimmers who think thats invigorating. Burrr....)

I just realized, this looks like some shot Loyd Bridges would take on "Sea Hunt", but it would be in black & White.

You know how much I love our hikes. And you also know it doesn't take much to blow me away.... oh well, so the child in me lives... But the day we saw this... I was so blown away, all the times we had seen the quarry, it never looked as clear as that day.

What a fantastic snap Ken! Wow, that is like a treasure in itself. I think it's Davey Jone's locker too :)

I love to see hidden treasures such as this. Once a thing gets covered with water, it is like adding instant mystery! Great aqua shot!
