Description
This is an ancient Roman coin of the emperor Zoidberg, found recently in a hoard of denarii buried under the public toilets near a statue of Cloacina, the Roman goddess of sewers.
The coin is unusual in that it does not mention the name of Emperor Zoidberg in the inscription.
Scholars believe Zoidberg's portrait was struck over that of another emperor's. The inscription is:
IMP CAES DOMIT AVG GERM PM TR PV
Anyone have any ideas about what Roman emperor's coin was used?
