Description

This is the first shot of my creation of Planet Crematoria as features is in the film The Chronicles of Riddick. Here I was looking at how a point light would work to reflect the light for the hot subteranean lava flows but the red light bleeds too much. The outcropping is created via a PB & Ive post worked some exposure values plus a light sun glare. Next is to look at amendeing the materials & to move to an isosurface. I hope to get some help from Slav for some of the outcropping forms that I will need to achieve. Many Thanks to Angela (OnePixelDeep) for rendering this image for me as 4 attempts failed on my PC, due to my own stupid fault:( TFV&C W

TCoR: One of my favorite movies... Excellent WIP image of Planet Crematoria, you've done a fantastic job here so far, The foreground is awesome. I look forward to seeing your next render and the work you will do on the outcropping forms at the back. :)

The 'levels' correction has worked a treat Warren - it's given it a lot more contrast. Sun glow works well too...p.s. I've sent you a peersonal e-mail

Looks very good. I think a tweak of slav's "delerium" landscape would do perfectly to help you make it look like the movie. Looks very promising, can't wait to see more.

Very interesting Woz!....you've got an excellent "lava" look going on there...I do'nt know if it was the point light picking up the mats in some way but the bottom mid to left area is superb!...I look forward to seeing how this turns out.

Yes Jeff...its the point light, but Im not happy with the bleed :( Im going to look at improving the mats instead to use a red glow as Al (Aktati) mentions & Slav refers to :)
