Description

Created in UF. A slight touch to add faces in PS other than that all the shapes including the windsurfers, birds and so on were all created in UF. I always wished to have the ability to paint by hand and although I can draw with a pencil, paint frightens me. UF has given me the ability to paint, make mistakes, make changes and go right back to start all over again. This image is a remake of Erosion which was never complete. There was always something that needed changed, something added, something taken away but I didn't have the knowledge or ability to do exactly what I wanted. Almost a year on, and I'm finally doing something with it. Although for just now I'm satisfied with The Beach it will probably be changed again in the future. Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to view. Heather

What to do when one has run out of superlatives? This is an outstanding portrait of nature;) Your attention to detail and eye for the realism achievable within UF is exceptional!

Once again Heather, gorgeous water! The way you have the water rolling in over the sand is just extraordinary! The waves are the best I have ever seen and so inspiring! :)

Wonderful landscape! I like the inclusion of the birds and windsurfers. The rocks are beautifully colored and textured, the sky is just right and the water...the water is so...so...watery, so well done, so perfect. I can't wait to see what else you come up with for this one, but for now it goes in my favs.

Maybe a Work In Progress, but even in progress it's so wonderful. Can't wait to see the next step.

All the superlatives imaginable for your technical skills, Heather. But this is also artistically beautiful. The contast of the rock colours with the pale blue sky and water is excellent. The composition is perfect, slightly diagonal "strips" containing the double opening looking onto the sea, there's just the right amount of dynamism and natural vitality there. My hat off to your painting abilities :)

WOW! This is just an incredibly well done piece of fractal scenery, Heather. No kidding - the water is some of the very best I've even seen. The inshore water is great and I love the way you made the water out where the "sailboarders" are appear to be windswept which, of course, is what is filling their sails. I really like how you framed this with rock, too. It reminds me of those sea etched arches and caves on the northwest Pacific coast that I've seen in magazines. Outstanding work - compositionally and CREATIVELY in bringing out and showing the natural fractals all around us. After all, are not the swirls of the roiling sea, the scudding of clouds, the brqnches of trees questing for light and the patterns of earth and stone not fractal in their form? Here's to not settling for what the pc decides will be on the screen and to your hours and days of fashioning and copmposing just the right pieces that you painted so well upon this digital canvas!

It's hard to believe this is done with UF Heather, it looks fantastic, very surreal, the water is wonderful and the toffee whipped rock makes an excellent frame for the scene.

Shades of Salvador Dali is the first thing that comes to mind. Or the inside of a cave looking out. But I think it's a splendid piece of work!
