Description
This little fellow is a male Downy woodpecker. It's markings are identical to the the hairy woodpecker, but is a sparrow sized bird. As always, comments and critiques are welcome and appreciated.

Dang it how close - I shot the hairy one recently - but had no way of getting close - so for me that's sort of a "what if" image for me. Great!
