Description
Believe it or not, this is the same butterfly. It is a Blue Morpho and as you can see, its wings look totally different when opened. I wish I had been able to get these captures with a greater DOF, but the lighting conditions were less than ideal and I was not permitted to use a tripod. :( EXIF: Canon EOS 20D, ISO 400, f4@ 1/60 sec, 100mm

I saw these at the Butterfly Gardens in Victoria, BC this summer and was so impressed with their beauty. I tried to get a photo but these guys are quick to land and fold up those wings so congratulations on being quick enough to caputure this one. I'm impressed.
