Description

The Cutty Sark was built in 1869 and was one of the last sailing clippers to be built. This ship is now dry-docked at Greenwich and serves as a museum ship. This is the 16th image in this series of panoramas of London. This one took a bit longer than usual but I'm happy with the result. I hadn't seen the Cutty Sark up close for ages so revisiting it was a blast- its more impressive in person. Original 7199x3371 Used Sony Cybershot P200, PSPX, and PTGui Thanks viewing, hope you enjoy!

Perhaps one of the most famous ships in the world,it's image used for a equally famous whiskey to probabley the most widely built model ship. And me like a fool till you posted this image hadn't realized it is on public display in London.Rats and missed opportunity. :( Excellent capture! Huh? PSP Ten? I'll add a question how do you find PSPX compared to 9 ,really much different? And you use PT Gui to splice your photo's together or PSP? Thx! :B eaver !

Good result, just a few changes I would have done. The red phone box and car on the left are a distraction. By cropping to just left of the bowsprit the eye would then be led down the ship helped by the curve on the ground.

Appreciate the comments folks! Since Corel bought Jasc, PSPX and onwards has been disappointing- yes the improvements are nice but not outstanding. PTGui is used to stitch the individual photos (this was 12 photos stitched together). I didn't go inside the ship but the public are able to roam inside it as well as on the deck for a entrance fee.

Such a pity that she's all burnt down... Really great that you made such a good picture of her before that! Like your panoramas, they are SUPER!!
