Description
Well, I guess some peeps have a few rather large and grotesque misconceptions about me. So I figured Id clear it up. Coz I'm a tell it like it is kinna gal.
1: I do not think I am god's gift to art. I love some of my images and hate some of them, which is probably how everyone feels. Do I think I'm a decent artist in general?? Yeah... especially when people are willing to let me brand them permanently with tatts and then come back for more. I think that pretty much speaks for itself. When I do a 3D image, I do what inspires me and if people like it great, and if not, that's okay too. Truth be told, I dont do this type of art for everyone else... I do it for myself, coz its what I love. Art is opinion and I don't infringe on anyone's beliefs or shove my ideals down their throats. That's what makes me open minded.
2: I dont get involved with the drama that goes on here. I dont generally talk to people other than Dudley, and I certainly dont get involved in cliques - I am what you would call a recluse. If you have an issue with me, please be sure to IM me privately, coz I would have the respect to do the same. Do not air "imaginary or misconceived" dirty laundry for everyone to see, especially when it concerns me. Im willing to be responsible for my actions alone, not what someone else interprets and falsely accuses them to be. And please, never take anything I comment to someone else out of context and twist it to be a personal attack. If I'm attacking you, you and the whole world will absolutely know it, coz I'm not the type to hide my intentions. Ill come at you full on with both barrels loaded, and with a damn good reason in tow.
3: I do not post art to get comments, and I will never ask, beg or expect them from people. I leave that entirely up to the viewer. On the contrary, I do not make comments frequently, coz I dont have the time. And I sure as hell dont notice the comments that are made by people on other people's images. But I digress, when I actually do leave comments, I prefer to leave ones that are encouraging and reinforce the positive aspects of the artwork. I have never left a shitty comment in my life. I always look for the good in every image because what people create usually comes from their heart.
That having been said, I hope that everyone will treat everyone else with respect. That people will make art coz its what they like... not to be popular and see who gets the most comments/views. And the next time you decide to jump to a conclusion, be sure to have a safety net in place. Those who really know me, know those are the very things I despise about this so-called community. And you can say and think what you want about me or my artwork... but I will keep on doing it and being who I am, just to spite it. I may have been born a yankee, but I will die a rebel.
Lastly, for those that are left wondering what the hell Im referring to... Its not important. I just wanted my intentions to be perfectly clear.

Awesome image Iggy !!! I always enjoy your work. The purple ones are always my favs :) No clue what is going on (as usual lol), but just keep doing what you enjoy and what other people think, say or do does not matter! hugs

Yep, what Risika said--you make art because you are an artist, not for what other people think (and when have you let other people tell you what to do? I'm guessing pretty much when hell freezes over;-) Anyway, your light here is awesome. I never can get the purple to come out right in my renders, and here it not only makes Snowcones look awesome, it picks out every highlight on the dragon, and pulls the whole pic together. Plus I even like the floor, which most people forget to do things with.

ok, i know it's off-topic....but....you're a tatooist? now that's just way cool and i never realised. I keep meaning to add more ink to my existing 13, but i've only managed to get one in the last 17 years (my back, 3 years ago). Gonna pop ya an IM about it ;)

Well I havent the slightest idea whats going on.. but the feelings you conveyed are pretty much the same as mine... very well said Babs! I love the colors.. and of course snowcones looks awesome here!! Especially love the glowing eyes on the dragon, the highlights on him too.. and her hair!! very beautiful work!!

I wonder what has happened now... I always am the last to know about things. Well, to be honest I don't come here to see art... unless you mean the real art with gorgeous females totally naked. 8-) Fantastic atmosphere and tones. The expression of the dragon is very good and I like those glowing eyes of his. Gorgeous character. Nice skin tone and awesome hair. She obviously lacks a thing to be art. 8-)

Bah, ignore the whiners. I like the overwhelming majority of your work. Taste is subjective. You OBVIOUSLY have some talent (and God knows I can't paint hair to save my life, hee hee). I don't comment as often as I'd like on other people's art. Like you, busy. I also don't get a tenth of the comments you do when I do manage to post something of mine. Who cares? Life goes on. Ultimately, I create artwork for me. Don't let people get you down. Some of the stuff that goes on on sites like this one is just too silly to even bother with.

Who said thatt about you, you have talent good for you, as for the rest of the cry babies, get a life poeple, or better yet brush up you runtimes, lol. Awesome image and you other work is fabulous too. Jealousy online is rampant, especially in graphics, so just get on with it, and dont worry about them. After all we are all faceless people sitting in front of our pc's :) Sticks and Stones, and everyone should be ashamed of themselves. I'm going to chime in here just as soon as I figure out where to start. Firstly, the image is epic and there's nothing cooler than a huge purple dragon ready to BBQ some @$$! I haven't touched the big lizard yet and I might not after seeing how awesome you made it look! I can easily see it being green, as well. I think Prog summed it up nicely in all regards and it's driving me away from this place, as well. I wish they would get rid of the stupid Art Charts as it builds up false confidence and invokes cockiness in some who crave attention, it also creates more drama that nobody has time to deal with. You have always been very fair and professional, especially in public, and that vouches for character in itself. We all have opinions and personal preferences and whatnot, but it's a matter of respect...you are certainly correct in stating that. It really used to be a magical place to escape to and the climate has changed so much here lately that it's getting to be a soap opera. If everyone kept their nose in their own business and worked constructively instead of destructively, it would be a better place. This doesn't apply to all, but it only takes a few to ruin the atmosphere and deplete the pleasure that this place should be all about. I've always admired your artwork and your unique style, and above all that, your sincerity and straightforward nature. It's just too bad that everyone doesn't adhere to the same level of standards that should be assumed in practice. I saw Rock On and let it rip, Babs! And :P'"' " on the disrespect! Outstanding work and I'm glad everyone gets a chance to read how is should be.

Well I don't know if I should apologize or not. I agree 100% with what you said. I have been feeling like complete crap for the last few days, and had someone lash out at me last night about my work. All over being jealous I suppose. I think that you are one of the most talented artist around this place. Iggy I for one take alot of what you do and learn from it. Your style speaks for it self, and your enthusiasm alone is inspiring. So all I can say is that you have to take what some people say with a grain of salt. When people lash out like that, its because they know that they are lacking in talent or something. Keep your head up and the awsome ART work comming!

Checked my email this morning. I had about 15 pictures that were popping up to check out. Decided it was really time to trim some of the notifications. This one was by far my favorite. It's so hot. You are one of my favorite artists around this place! Your work is creative and wonderful. Probably because you do it for you- no one else. As for this picture- the Dragon looks like he's going to have a "snack." But the lovely lady nonchalantly isn't worried. She's going to kick some ass.
