Description

Here we have a boabab tree. They can grow to enormous sizes and carbon dating indicates that they may live to be 3,000 years old. Oh yes - elephants love the young Boabab trees. Apparently, they are not really trees, but I will have to do some research to confirm this. ;-) Anyway - enjoy!

Superb picture! How old is this boabab? And I would like to know what are they if not trees! :)

What a magnificent specimen of the "tree", well displayed here. It is evident why folklore has it that it was uprooted and planted upside down.
