heeeelllloooo friends,
i hope all is well with you all. i finally have some time to breathe again.i'm still checking out your galleries.i managed to catch up somewhat somehow.
thank you for your appreciation of my renders. your comments are music to my ears. i'd also like to thank all the vendors for their fabulous xmas gifts.they're going to be a lot of fun to play with.
this morning's post is another all time favorite of mine aquaman aka arthur curry.some of you may remember the series "superfriends" in the late 70's(oops i'm showing my age again). as a child i would get up about 7:oo am to watch it .the part i loved the most was when they introduced the heroes "superman , batman,wonder woman,the greeeen lantern, aquamaaan ..." i still get goosebumps when i watch the reruns.recently i watched an episode of smallville where arthur curry(aquaman's alias)appeared to save his underwater home from lex luthor's evil plans.rumor has it there's a new series coming on.best believe i'll be watching.
the most striking things about aquaman in comics to me was the ability to communicate with all sea creatures, his real don't mess with my oceans attitude, and as they say in comics history "...the ability to withstand the pressures of the deepest parts of the seven seas" if that dosen't qualify as an all time fav. nothing can.
sorry for being so long winded this time. i hope you enjoy my version of arthur curry.

Dear Lee, "Long winded??" Heck, I can't say hello in those few words!!!!! ;-) Unfortunately I came along a little late for the glory days of the super heroes - at least in the comic books. What little experience I've had has been vicarious through THE Boss and Tomas. I do remember hearing mention of "Aquaman" but I didn't associate "Arthur Curry" with him until your post. (I'm sorry - I was born in 82 - and besides, I'm blond!!!) By the way, you have no idea how convenient "I'm blond" is!!! I've used it more than once to keep myself out of trouble!!! (Meredith is kind of a sneaky little gal!!!) I really like the pose and "look" of this picture - it was a "comic book pulp" feel about it!! I've seen a few comics from that era - THE Boss, again - and I think this would be right at home!! HEY!!! That's an idea you might try sometime - do a series of super hero comic covers!! Add the titles and magazine trappings to it!! Might be pretty cool!!! And would stoke some folks memories!!! Anyway - terrific picture - neat colors with the green and gold - and I like the "telepathy halo!!" Super work!!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
