helllloooooo rendo,
i hope everybody's cooling out having a great time.thanks bunches and bunches for your comments on my last few renders.it's a great feeling having your support.
tonights image is something i did for giggles and fun. my friend meredith had a great idea to create comic covers for my super heroes.well i took a couple of hours to see if i could acctually do such a thing and i'm pretty sure i can."we have the technology..."as they used to say on the 6 million dollar man(don't worry if you don't remember the show.i'm working out an idea for some time in the near future).
anyway what i came up with is a magazine cover very much like a well known martial arts magazine i read occasionally. of course little dragon is the "star" on the cover. he won the tournament (naturally. none of MY heroes ever lose).now he is a big martial arts superstar.
i had a lot of fun creating this and i hope you enjoy it.

Dear Lee, I must have gone off-line just before you posted! (Not to sleep unfortunately, but more stuff at the office! It never ends!!!) This turned out REALLY COOL!!! It has "rack appeal!!!" That is, it's got the ability to catch the eye and make folks want to pick it up - to look - and to buy!! I still think Hiro has a bit of a "Brad" look - maybe a little crazed "Brad" in this picture!!!! ;-) Super duper action shot!!! Looks like he's coming out of the page!! (But on the downside, the "photographer" is in traction!!!) You layout is really good - you NEED white space to get attention - too many magazines miss the boat by putting too much text on the cover - that's a big no-no! They'd do better following your lead. Since this is the premier issue, I'm gonna have to make sure I save a copy in my favorites!!! (Might be worth a gazaillion bucks some day!!!!) Experiment with some different type covers and build yourself up a mini portfolio - then talk to some of the magazine publishers - might turn into some bucks. And to get some "credentials," see if there are some local magazines that you might do some cover work for just the credits!!! You've definitely got talent at graphic design - maybe can put it to work!!! Super job!! I'm so glad that it turned out so well for you!!!!!! Love ya!!! Meredith

You are a great cover designer, my friend! Some humour, too, in this! :) Vey dramatic - that black against the white, with a touch of red! Yellow for leterring on white's a bad idea, but you are forgiven because this is a very dramatic image and a creative concept!
