Photographically you achieved your goal. The mood however the image is setting is another one - it looks deserted - so more sad than jolly. But that does change that the imagery is superb - the interpretation is in the eye of the beholder anyway. I love that you didn't leave it at B/W alone. Introducing the faint yellow/orange adds a special note!
