Love the arts in all their forms: Fine Art, Music, Writing, etc. A traditional painter for many years, my introduction to painting on the computer came in 1999. As time goes by I find myself spending more and more time with my tablet and pen in hand. Guess I could have a worse addiction. Since the begining of 2006 I have immersed myself into the wonderful world of photography. I have learned so much in that time and feel ready to share my stuff with you now. I'm sorry I've been away so long, but stay tuned for a daily flood of my recent captures, :)
BIO
Hello everyone! My name is John Minelli. For as long as I can remember I have had a love of the arts in all of their forms and have been striving to be the be the best that I can be. Even though I have been creating art for many years, I still feel like an infant. I find it fascinating that every time that I pick up a brush, pencil or tablet and pen I still learn something new. Although I live in Savannah, GA, USA., I have a great love of Europe; especially Italy. I spent several years working in the Middle East and took several vacations in Europe. I fell in love with Rome and plan on going back to Italy as soon as possible.

Looks like one of those made-up towns that you get when they shoot movies. Very great shot! Love the tones! Well done. Have a splendid week. 8;o)

Photographically you achieved your goal. The mood however the image is setting is another one - it looks deserted - so more sad than jolly. But that does change that the imagery is superb - the interpretation is in the eye of the beholder anyway. I love that you didn't leave it at B/W alone. Introducing the faint yellow/orange adds a special note!

This is pure nostalgia. Amazing that such "authentique" places still exist. Such wonderful atmosphere in this capture!

Well captured. I certainly appreciate the lighting. It really conveys the feeling of standing there, feeling the coldness of the beauty that you have captured. Thanks for sharing.

love what you did in postwork, especially this orange touch, and it looks way back... taken some time after midnight, when nobady roams the streets anymore
