Description

I know the pose is about as original as the title, :P and pretty typical for a squirrel shot, but I think the colour and clarity make up for the lack of originality in this one. I hope it was worth viewing for you.

Superb shot, and you're right about the clarity, it's crisp alright. I think the pose is perfect, it's so natural, along with the tree limb which frames it so well at the bottom. Great shot for sure!!

Oh yeah, pretty clear for a squirrel shot -- you totally nailed it (the shot, not the squirrel). You're absolutely right about the clarity making up for the lack of originality, and besides, who cares if it's cliche if it's so well done. Also, if you keep trying you might get a really original shot of a squirrel that's just as clear! Keep up the good work, and such.

WOW! This is the best squirrel shot i have seen. The clarity is like you said outstanding. And the pose is what you want it to be right? So why would that be a bad thing? I love this shot, i think its absolutely gorgeous! Have a great day! #:o)

Fantastic close up detail. Great DOF. I know you people are sometimes bothered by their bold intrusive behaviour in cities but I'd love to have them around where I live.

i always thought red squirrels had devil like pointed ears... maybe its a sub-species. You are right about the pose, been done before - but so has the top down rose shot or the sitting position of a dog ;) I might have given him a bit more room on the left to "go into" compositionally, but yeah - great shot! :)

inshaala: I would have preferred more space on the left also, but unfortunately there was an out of focus tree just to the left of the crop.
