Description

Yay! I got my Poser 7 download tonight! I haven't been this excited in quite a while! And to think, it's officially out on Dec 20! I immediately pulled Daru into it and tried to test some limits. This was a quickie rendered at 3000x2250, w/ Final settings. The multithreaded renderer seems to work great. Memory usage during rendering does seem to be down. The ability to set up "Collections" of resources that span runtimes is great. Now I can group all my "Twi'lek" stuff together! The multiple undo levels is absolutely priceless. That feature alone w/ almost make P7 worth the price of admission for me. It'll be interesting to see how stuff like hair turns out since there is no longer a "Texture Filtering" toggle. It seems like the render time was faster than it would have been in P6, but I'll need to do more tests over the coming days to see if that is indeed true. Also, it seems like there are some artifacts, like odd edge enhancement around the edge of the bikini which you can see clearly in the full resolution version downloadable from my website. I'll have to do some comparisions w/ P6 to see how this shot differs. Anyhow, enjoy this simple Daru quickie! Hi-res available @ my website. Thanks for looking and for your comments.

Whoa! You allready got Poser 7! You.... Wow- this is a fantastic render, and the Hi-res is most certainly worth checking out! Thanks also for the mini-review, any information from the very community that uses it is far more relevant than marketing hype! Keep posting more tests- and tell us what you think!

huh, didn't know they were making a 7, guess I haven't been doing this long enough to get in the know. Oh well, she looks great, and I'll have to look into that.

Well so far it looks pretty sharp to me, I look forward to your comparisons. If you're doing some in poser6 I'd be interested to see how 7 stacks up against the poser4 rendering engine.
