Description

Thanks for looking and especially for your comments. Super hi-res available @ RadiantCG.com as per usual.
Tenel Ka Chume Ta' Djo, Queen of the Hapes Consortium circa 40 ABY (After Battle of Yavin, i.e. Star Wars Episode 4) For those wondering what happened to her left arm: "During a lightsaber training exercise with Jacen Solo, Tenel Ka's newly constructed lightsaber (made from a rancor tooth) shorted out due to a flaw in its focusing crystal. Jacen's blade slipped through the space it had previously occupied and cut off Tenel Ka's left arm. Tenel Ka bore Jacen no ill will, but Jacen felt seriously guilty. The accident had drastically changed their relationship, especially in light of the fact that, prior to the accident, Jacen had hoped they would become more than friends. Whisked back to Hapes by her grandmother Ta'a Chume, Tenel Ka briefly considered whether she should continue to train as a Jedi, but in a display of personal strength and confidence, Tenel Ka refused to have the prosthetic replacement her grandmother arranged for her to have attached, and sought to enhance her physical abilities along with her Jedi talents to make up." That's from her Wookiepedia entry. (Warning the entry contains major spoilers for recent Star Wars novels near the end). After reading Tempest, I just had to give her an image. ----------------------- On a technical note, this image was created in Poser 7 using Victoria 4.0. V4's high-res textures are so large, that I would not even dare attempt to load them into a P5/6 render. It would just fall over and die. For those hoping for impressions on V4 and Poser 7, I'll say this about each: Poser 7 is still buggy, however there is nothing preventing me from using it as a replacement for Poser 6. Multiple undo, the faster render times, and the drastically reduced memory usage far outweigh any other problems (importing, not opening, pz3 files is broken, some keyboard shortcuts are broken, shadows in renders occasionally have artifacts, dynamic cloth only seems to work if it's all done in a single simulation) that I have encountered. If any of these things sound like problems to you, I recommend holding off until eF releases a few patches. Victoria 4.0 - Wow, where to begin. I really like this model. The morphs are organized well into categories. Her default face is much prettier than default V3, though I find her eyes too large. The high res textures are incredibly detailed, and the joint bends are much improved. V4 does require P6 or P7 because of the way her joints are set up. Poser 4 (and possibly 5) do weird things with her leg bends as you might have seen around here. I'd love to be able to convert my girl's faces over to V4 when more content comes around but I don't know that they'll be possible to recreate since many of the facial morphs are different.

This is one of your best yet! Love the way the light from the blade falls on the character, and you're getting great results with V4.

I'm really liking that flowing dress and the shadow cast by the pattern in it. Great character and story as well, and thanks for the run down on V4 and Poser7

This is a very faithful recreation and expansion of the cover of Star Wars - Legacy of the Force: TEMPEST for those who don't know. I just finished reading the book myself, and I am eagerly awaiting the next book slated for a Feb 27, 2007 release. To Giolon, Beautiful work. I am glad you like V4, I am getting it myself tomorrow, and as for Poser 7....If only I hadn't bought Poser 6 about 4 months ago....GOD ITS SLOW!!!!!!!!!!! And thats on an AMD Athlon 64 system with 1GB of ram.

Cheeers for another Star Wars Fan, the daughter of a Nightsister, she is absolutely beautiful. A mix of Hapen beauty and Dathomiri defiance ;)

Tsk, Tsk, Tsk & OUCH! She should go for the Mechanical Prostestic, though that could start her onto the path of the Dark Side! MUHAHAHAHA!!!! (^_^) Many 3D artists would not take such a risk rendering an amputated female character, so kudos to you for a great work. Nice pose, lighting effects, character design, & use of a lightsaber prop.
