Kimarie Chartier here- 43. I live in Canyon Country /Newhall area , Southern California. I have always been an artist . I started drawing at age two. My Mother said when I was a child I always had something to draw with in hand and I would cry when the paper ran out (LOL) ..I went to art school for a short while and have taught art to elementry school kids. I have done many oil paintings , pastels and watercolors , but recently , have been intrigued with digital photography and computer photo art in paint shop pro. now, I mainly work in Paint shop pro 7 and 11. I now also just beginning to work in ADobe photoshop cs2 ! I also am a full time Mom with three girls ( who are all over my gallery) Annie 16, Janel 13, and Christina 10. Between my parenting, photoshoots, Renderosity and playing in paint shop/ photoshop I keep very busy ! I also have a sweet, loving cocker spaniel named Candi who is very needy of much love and attention lol She goes with me on photoshoots-oh- 'cept when I am shooting birds haha cause she is a bird hunter by nature!!
I LOVE any kind of art .like to draw and paint with basically anything I can get my hands on (LOL)!
I have fallen in love with photography
opening up light and dark and seeing the limitless possiblities! But I do still love to paint too!!  Works like Nightfears , came from nothing but my immagination -drawing/ painting with only a mouse paint and smudge tools from a blank page in paintshop 7. I started out with a Nikon 7900 pocket cam and am at the moment working in photography..now also have two other canon pocket cams a sl900
and sx 100is - mainly all my work in my gallery is done with my little pocket cams - they go with me everywhere and is an an extention of my right hand!! I have a canon rebel as well but it isnt working all that great so manly using the pocket cams for now . Learning..growing and sharing on here is the best!! I don't know what I would do without this site it has helped me learn so much..( this site motivates me so much ) I love it here ! yeah so I got the photography bug ..and I also love to do photo art...!! I, every now and then I will do a painting or a smudging as I call it.( you can see most of my smudge painting works hand done with a mouse on the first two pages of my gallery!!)

Crisp... clean... Fall colors. A demand to look at not just the future, but the past. Very, very, nice!

Someone commented about you that everything you touch turns to gold. I would like to say "ditto" ... that is so true. I am so envious of you work! :) Li

Beautiful structure. Nice work on softening the sky. Really brings out the lighthouse.

I'm going back into your back-gallery to catch up on what I've missed...I chose this at random: Boom! What a shot...the browns dominate beautifully, the wood panelling and roof, the browning trees, the piers, and of course their reflections. Musical interplay. (I find music in a lot of your shots.) And you got a "jutting outward" POV, with the lighthouse coming at us at an angle, grandly wedging its way into our space. (Yes!) And yet—and I don't know how you do it—you managed once again to turn it into a shimmering musical image. The water is mirror-like and gentle, the sky is one of your dramatic cloud-shots (I think you were there when the Ten Commandments were given), and the diagonals are like musical lines in a fugue. And I've finally realized: There's something locket-like inside many of your shots—by which I mean, they're precious, very intimate and dear. Yet when one 'opens them up', they're grand and quite dramatic. Not easy to get both in one picture. Another beautiful miniature of the cosmos from your teeming inner eye...
