Description

Still playing... Decided that all the pictures I'd seen showed a Blued gun not Chrome. Also figured that she deserved a lush green setting rather than a desert. Think I've still got to solve the floating problem... tried filling in with shadow but don't think I've darkend that area enough.

Dear Don, I think I like the blued surface better because I think it's more authentic. I'm not sure how well the chrome process worked back in Annie's time. Not sure exactly when electroplating came around as a "real" process. And I don't think stainless was around either. I just checked Wikipedia - commercial stainless didn't arrive until 1911. Electroplating can around in the mid 1800's, but I don't think they could do chromium until much later. Bluing has been around since the 1800's. So - bluing is the more authentic choice. I like the forest setting too because it contrast better with her skin and outfit. I'll IM you a couple of things about the shadow stuff! Super cool cowgirl!!! So - let's see if she can hit those thrown silver dollars!!! ;-) (Or was it quarters??) Love Ya!!! Meredith
