stunning structure and thanks for taking a chance. I left my Fuji outside a few days ago by mistake and it rained but i was in the bag. it was very cold then and I put it in the back of my FJ because I had to leave. when I came back I took it inside and then had more problem with condensation.luckily I was able to dry it off and no worse for wear.I would never get tired of captures of ruins like these. just mind boggling the wealth of some people

What a ghostly (ghastly!) structure and I don't know about the B&W but it looks great this way. Excellently composed too. Not difficult to hear the wind making creaking noises in the old place.

Oh no it's not boring at all! Your photos are even very exciting to see! Also this photograph has its own fascination! This old building looks really very very creepy covering the stone walls with all those wonderful plants! I love this Cumberland series! Thanks so much for sharing with us!!!

nice work... do i detect a bit of hdr-esque postwork to this scene? Those plam trees really make this shot look strange, and the whole atmosphere is really cool - the scene reminds me of 3d environments built for FPS games ;) looks like i missed out on a good shot yesterday...goes to see

Wonderfully spooky! As for the In a decaying society, art, if it is truthful, must also reflect decay" quote, I have just been given carte blanche to post the tons of decay and third world photos stashed in my photo library. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This reminds me of a shot I took in Scotland of a castle ruin.I so would've loved to have had a sky like this in mine.I think it really lends itself well to the atmosphere.I can see why you ultimately went 'color' with this. The smoky blues work well against the chimney red and the grass.Beautiful one,Kort.I like it a lot!-M :^) PS I got your ebot shortly after 2pm...Is it newsletter time again? ;^P

I like stormy sky and a vegetation running on a wall. Slowly taking over the whole ruin.

Truly amazing snap! I love architecture so I'm awed by these old structures that once graced the landscape with their massive beams. Bravo!

Your point of view on this one is my fav. Though I have never seen anything like this live, it sure impresses me to see the photo. Good work on the mood. Never seen a a palm tree in this type of photo before..
