Description

The day at the lion farm Bona Bona was a huge success and we all enjoyed it very much. For more behind the scenes stories (uncensored) and photos, visit our forum thread please.

I decided to deviate a bit from the usual lion photo and show the African wild dog which also occur on the farm. Edit: These animals are endangered and are bred in captivity to increase their numbers.

I think we call it " Hye" in french.. Yes fur seems painted !! It has a particular cry : like laughing .. It don't have a good notoriety : robber, wicked... Is it your African wild dog ? I like a lot the perfect compo you did with taht two shots Clear and colored pic, well laying that could be featured in a wildlife magazine Great work, Piet Hugs q:)Magali

@ Laelia: Info on the Wild dog (French: lycaon, cynhyène, loup-peint) It makes noises somewhat similar to dogs Info on the Spotted Hyena (French: L'hyene) It makes a laughing sound.
