Description

AlooooooooHa and Happy Holidays! Ah, the smell of Christmas is in the air..the hustle and bustle can be seen everywhere...I love the season, but the hate the hassle of crowds, traffic, and the up close and personal shopping....But I love the season and for a few weeks I try to enjoy the simple things in life and let it flow. Yipes, starting to blither... Moving right along...When the waves get to big for the reef to hold them up long enough, taking off on a wave is too dangerous. The wave sucks straight up and suddenly your looking at a an 8-10 foot drop. If you wipe out on the takeoff, your pretty much hamburger. This surfer was towed into this wave by a jet ski, a common practice here when the waves are too big to take off on, but still rideable. The waves this day were pretty consistent 4-6', but with only 2 jet skis in the water, only two guys were able to get as many waves as they wanted while the other guys watched. This guy caught a great wave and here he is locked in while the wave begins to throw over his head....tubed, locked in, in the barrel, call it what you will, this moment is what surfers live for. Mahalo's for all your kind comments on my last couple of waves, you guys are too kind....Keep smiling~~and live Aloha~

I usually scan the gallery and when something catches my eye, I will open the thumb and when I have the time and I really enjoy the capture, I will comment. Honestly, this one is one of those that is more than worth my time and effort to tell you that you did a really splendid job on this! The translucency of your water is absolutely gorgeous and your composition is right up there with the pro's. Great job!! :0))
