Description

AloooooHa! Another shot from the other days shoot. This wave is about 1/8 mile from shore...it very rarely breaks as the wave must be large, and hit this reef at just the right angle to break. On this day I saw it break just 5 times in the 4 hrs. I was there. But when it did break everyone in the water and on land stopped to watch...hoots and hollars abound when this happens. It breaks so far out and in such deep water that surfers won't go out to catch this wave. I shot this about 250 yrds. away with a Canon 100-400IS lens. Wish I could have borrowed Jimbo's 500mm on this day....sigh. man those are some stunning wave shots youve been taking. catching the blue of hawaii's oceans at the top of the break.....whats the hawaiin word for "bitchen"?
